This policy explains what information we collect on this website, how we use it, who we share it with, and the choices you have. It applies to visitors of joeldavidre.com and camachogrp.com, wherever you live. The California privacy rights section describes rights specific to California residents. This policy also serves as our notice at collection under California law.

What We Collect, At a Glance

In the past 12 months we have collected the following categories of personal information:

Identifiers and contact details. Your name, phone number, and email address. Source: you, when you book a call, submit a form, call, or text us. Purpose: to respond to you, schedule your call, and provide our services. Disclosed to: our service providers listed below, and, in protected (hashed) form, to advertising platforms for the custom audience advertising described below.

Information about your request. The date and time you choose for a call and anything you tell us about your home, including its address, your family’s situation, or your timeline. Source: you. Purpose: to check whether your home is in our service area, prepare for and hold your call, and provide real estate services. Disclosed to: our service providers, and, if you become a client, the parties needed to complete your transaction.

Communications records. Records of our calls, texts, and emails with you. Source: our communications with you. Purpose: service, quality, and legal compliance. Disclosed to: our service providers.

Internet activity and device information. Device and browser type, IP address, general location at the city level from your IP address, pages visited, and how you found and use the site. We do not collect precise geolocation. Source: automatic collection by this website and its service providers. Purpose: to run, measure, secure, and improve the site and our advertising. Disclosed to: our website host and to advertising and analytics providers including Google, Meta, and other platforms.

We do not collect Social Security numbers, financial account numbers, or other sensitive personal information through this website, so the right to limit sensitive personal information does not currently apply to anything we hold. Publicly available information, including public real estate and property records, is not personal information under California law.

How We Collect It

Through our scheduling widget when you book a call. Through forms on our site, such as when you enter your home address to see if it is in our service area. When you call or text the phone number on this site. Through cookies and similar technologies on the site.

Calls to our tracking number may be recorded or monitored for quality and training. Recording only happens on calls where you hear a notice at the start of the call, and continuing the call after that notice is how you consent. This policy discloses the practice; the notice on the call itself is what asks your permission.

Third Parties Collecting Information on Our Site

Some tools on this site are operated by other companies, and information you provide or that your browser sends goes directly to them as well as to us:

Scheduling widget (iClosed). What you type into the booking form is transmitted directly to iClosed and handled under its own privacy policy as well as ours.

Address suggestions (Google Maps). When you type your address into a form on our site, what you type is sent to Google Maps so it can suggest matching addresses and fill in your ZIP code. Google handles that information under its own privacy policy as well as ours. We use the address only to check whether your home is in our service area and to follow up about your request.

Embedded video players. Videos on this site are played through third party players that may set their own cookies.

Advertising and analytics tools. Google, Meta, and other advertising platforms collect visit data on our sites through cookies and pixels, as described below. They use the data under their own privacy policies as well as ours.

These third parties may collect information about you across different websites and over time.

How We Use Your Information

To respond to you, schedule and hold the call you requested, and provide our real estate services. To send you calls, texts, and emails about your request, if you gave us consent when you booked or submitted a form. Consent is not a condition of purchase. Message and data rates may apply. Reply STOP at any time to stop texts, use the unsubscribe link in any marketing email, or ask us directly to stop calls and emails; we honor unsubscribe requests within 10 business days. To run, measure, secure, and improve this website and our advertising. To comply with legal obligations that apply to real estate brokers and agents.

Advertising, Selling, and Sharing: Where We Stand

We use advertising and analytics tools on our websites, including tools from Google (Ads and Analytics), Meta (Facebook and Instagram), and other advertising platforms. These tools use cookies and pixels to collect information about your visit, such as your device information, IP address, and the pages you view, and they use it to show you our ads on other websites and apps and to measure how our ads perform. Under California law, this is “sharing” personal information for cross context behavioral advertising, and it has occurred in the past 12 months.

We also sometimes upload contact lists, such as email addresses and phone numbers in protected (hashed) form, to advertising platforms so we can show ads to our contacts or to people similar to them. California’s definitions of “sale” and “sharing” are broad, and this activity may qualify.

We do not sell personal information for money, and we do not sell or share personal information belonging to anyone we know to be under 16.

You can opt out of this sharing at any time on our Do Not Sell or Share My Personal Information page.

Who We Share It With

We share personal information with service providers who work for us under contracts that limit what they can do with it. These currently include or may include: our scheduling provider (iClosed), our address lookup provider (Google Maps), our customer relationship manager (Follow Up Boss), our email provider (Mailchimp), our call tracking provider (CallRail), automation tools (Zapier), and our website host (Webflow).

If you become a client, we share information as needed and as you direct to complete your transaction, for example with escrow, title, lenders, inspectors, and the other party’s agent, and with our broker, RE/MAX Top Producers, as required by law.

We may also disclose information when the law requires it, to protect our legal rights, or in connection with a business transfer.

Your California Privacy Rights

If you live in California, you may request: to know the personal information we have collected about you, the categories and specific pieces, where it came from, how we use it, and who we share it with; to delete personal information we collected from you, with some legal exceptions; to correct inaccurate personal information; to opt out of any sale or sharing of your personal information; and to limit the use of sensitive personal information. We do not collect sensitive personal information through this site.

We will not deny you services, charge you a different price, or provide a different level of service because you exercised any of these rights.

How to submit a request. Email Team@JoelDavidRE.com or call (626) 736-1817. You never need to create an account to make a request. You may also use an authorized agent; we will ask for proof that you gave the agent permission.

What happens next. We will confirm we received your request within 10 business days. For requests to know, delete, or correct, we will respond within 45 days, and if we need more time we may take up to 45 additional days after telling you why. We act on opt out requests as soon as we can, and never later than 15 business days. To verify your identity, we match the information in your request against what we already have: at least two data points for most requests, and for specific pieces of information, at least three data points plus a signed statement that you are who you say you are. If we cannot verify a deletion request, we will ask whether you want to be removed from our marketing instead.

Other California Disclosures

We do not disclose personal information to third parties for those parties’ own direct marketing, so California’s “Shine the Light” law (Civil Code section 1798.83) request process does not apply to us. We do not offer financial incentives or price differences in exchange for personal information. The free consultation we advertise is available to everyone on the same terms.

Cookies, Do Not Track, and Opt Out Signals

Our cookie notice. On pages that carry our cookie notice, only the cookies needed to run the site are used until you make a choice. The notice offers Accept all, Reject all, and Choose, with the same one click for each. Needed cookies run the site, the booking calendar, and tools you start yourself, such as the home value widget. Measure visits covers Google Analytics, call tracking that swaps in a trackable phone number and records which page a call came from, and session recording that captures how you move, scroll, and type on the page; none of these load unless you allow them. Advertising covers the Meta pixel and Google Ads tags that let us show our ads to you on other sites and measure them; none of these load unless you allow them. Our chat tool loads only when you click the chat button, and chats are saved and read by our team. Your choice is saved in a cookie named jd_consent on your browser for 12 months, together with the date, the page, and the version of this policy you saw, so we can show that we honored it. Rejecting also clears the tracking cookies we can reach. You can change your choice anytime through Your Privacy Choices at the bottom of the page; changing to Reject clears the cookies again and reloads the page. Global Privacy Control. We honor the GPC signal as an opt out of sale and sharing on that browser: advertising and visit measurement tools do not load, and a message on the page confirms that your opt out request was honored. On pages where the cookie notice has not yet been added, the signal still switches off the Meta pixel and tells Google that consent is denied. We do not respond to the older Do Not Track signal because it has no common standard. You may also set your browser to refuse or delete cookies, and you may use the ad controls offered by Google, Meta, and the Digital Advertising Alliance, but you never need to do so to opt out with us. Our Do Not Sell or Share My Personal Information page explains how to opt out of contact list uploads as well.

How Long We Keep Information

We keep personal information only as long as needed for the purposes described here, using these criteria. Inquiries and bookings: kept while we work with you and for a reasonable period afterward in case you return, unless you ask us to delete them. Client transaction records: California law (Business and Professions Code section 10148) requires brokers to keep transaction records for three years from the closing date, or from the listing date if the transaction does not close, and we keep them at least that long. Marketing lists: kept until you unsubscribe or ask us to delete you. Website logs and analytics: kept on short rolling windows set by our website host and analytics providers.

How We Protect Information

We use reasonable administrative, technical, and physical safeguards appropriate to the information we handle, and we require the same of our service providers. No website or system can be guaranteed completely secure.

Children

This website is for adults dealing with real estate matters. It is not directed to children, and we do not knowingly collect personal information from anyone under 16. If you believe a child gave us personal information, contact us and we will delete it.

Links to Other Sites

This site links to other websites, such as review platforms. Their privacy practices are their own, and this policy does not cover them.

Changes to This Policy

If we change this policy, we will post the updated version on this page with a new effective date, and we will note meaningful changes at the top of the page. We review this policy at least once a year.
